Familiarisation Course Rotax 912/914
This course gives basic knowledge to ROTAX (aircraft engine) product line and information on the different aircraft engine systems and engine operation. This course is intended for people with interest in ROTAX Aircraft Engine history and product line and for operating personnel.

Service Course Rotax 912
This course gives the necessary knowledge to perform line maintenance up to annual inspection. This course is intended for Owner / Operator / Maintenance technicians seeking in-depth knowledge for the proper operation and maintenance of the Rotax 912. Participation in Familiarisation Course 912/914 is mandatory to attend Service 912 course.

Service Course Rotax 914
This course gives the necessary knowledge to perform line maintenance up to annual inspection. This course is intended for Owner / Operator / Maintenance technicians seeking in-depth knowledge for the proper operation and maintenance of the Rotax 914. Participation in Familiarisation Course 912/914 is mandatory to attend Service 914 course.

Maintenance Course Rotax 912
Additional to familiarization course and service course this course gives the technician the necessary knowledge required to exchange Line Replaceable (LRUs) on a ROTAX 912.
Detailed maintenance issues, procedures, removal and replacement of the following components (LRUs) but not limited to:

  • Cylinder heads
  • Cylinder/pistons
  • Intake/exhaust systems
  • Carburetors
  • Ignition system
  • Gearbox
  • Starter
  • Oil pump
  • Sensors
EXCLUDED:
  • Splitting of crankcase
  • Removal of ignition housing*
  • Disassembly/assembly of the overload clutch
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting issues
  • Test run of the engine including hands on troubleshooting
  • Create standardized and significant technical reports e.g. MDR report
Participation in Service Course 912 is mandatory to attend Maintenance 912 course.

Maintenance Course Rotax 912

Heavy Maintenance Course Rotax 912/914
Additional to familiarization course, service course and maintenance course this course gives the technician the necessary knowledge required to repair components on a ROTAX 912/914.
Detailed Maintenance issues and procedures on the following Systems or Components:

  • Cylinder Heads
  • Cylinders and pistons
  • Gearbox
  • Ignition housing / Water pump / sprag clutch
  • Carburetors
  • Hands-on tear down, inspection and re-assembly of the following components but not limited to:
  • Gearbox / shimming / Friction & Slipping torque
  • Carburetors
  • Oil pump
  • Ignition housing / Water pump seal
  • Cylinders / pistons and cylinder heads
  • Valve train
  • Exchange of block engine
EXCLUDED:
  • Splitting of crankcase
  • Splitting of turbocharger
  • Disassembly/assembly of the overload clutch
Participation in Maintenance Course (912/914 as applicable) is mandatory to attend Heavy Maintenance 912/914 course.

Maintenance Course Rotax 2 Stroke
This course gives the necessary knowledge on ROTAX 2-stroke Aircraft Engines required to:

  • have basic knowledge of ROTAX (aircraft engine) product line
  • have information on the different aircraft engine systems and their operation
  • perform line maintenance and annual inspection
  • exchange parts, components and accessories
  • repair parts, components and accessories
Line maintenance on engine systems like but not limited to:
  • Ignition System
  • Cooling System
  • Lubrication System
  • Fuel System
  • Carburetion incl. Synchronisation
  • Gearbox
  • Instrumentation Systems
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting issues
Detailed maintenance issues, procedures, removal and replacement of the following components but not limited to:
  • Cylinder heads
  • Cylinder/pistons
  • Intake/exhaust systems
  • Carburetors
  • Ignition system
  • Gearbox
  • Starter
  • Oil pump
  • Water pump (if applicable)
  • Sensors
  • Splitting of crankcase
  • Carburetors
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting issues
  • Test run of the engine including hands on troubleshooting
  • Create standardized and significant technical reports e.g. MDR report
