Petrol/Kerosene Engines - Trouble Shooting Instructions
ENGINE DOES NOT START
Cause
Remedy
No fuel in the tank and fuel tap at ' Stop' position Refill fuel and turn tap to ' Start' position
Fuel hoses and carburettor jets blocked Remove & clean and ensure free flow of fuel
Spark plug bridged or wet on out side Clean the spark plug & cap or replace new one
Water mixed in the fuel Clean the carburettor/fuel line throughly
Ignition spark weak & HT lead loose connected Check ignition system & HT lead or replace with new one
The complaint still persists, take the engine to the Authorised service dealer

ENGINE DOES NOT PULL LOAD
Cause
Remedy
Check the engine speed if operates below rated RPM on full load Correct the engine speed to rated RPM
Carburettor out of tune or jets blocked Correct tuning and clean jets
Cylinder head nuts loose and loss of compression Tighten cylinder head nuts with Torque
Unmatched spark plug Replace with recommended one
Air cleaner chocked( blocked) Clean and refit
The complaint still persists, take the engine to the Authorised service dealer
